The greatest testament to artistic accomplishment is longevity of popular appeal; Bob Marley’s continued popularit speaks to his legendary achievements as both an artist and cultural revolutionary.

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Bob Marley's albums Exodus, Island Records has re-released the album by this reggae legend in a special edition.

Island Records celebrates the 30th anniversary of Bob Marley's Exodus album by re-releasing it.

The 30th anniversary of his world-renowned Exodus album has caused
music critics, political analysts and historians to remember the
challenging political climate in which one of the world's most revered
reggae stars lived. Few musicians since Marley can claim to have had
such a measurable impact on the world's politics and few musicians can
claim to have been directly affected by those same politicians.

It was no accident that Marley's fifth studio album was called
Exodus; it was recorded while Marley sought exile in the UK after his
overt political statements led to an assassination attempt on his life.
On release, Exodus remained in the British album charts alone for 56
straight weeks and hits like Jamming, Waiting in Vain and the title
track made Bob Marley an international superstar.
