This dragon wasn't the one of fairytales, in this rare, yet tragic, event .

An eight-year-old boy has died after being attacked by a Komodo dragon in a national park.

The child was attacked on Saturday after entering a bush for a toilet stop in an Indonesian fishing village.

He was visiting the national park on Komodo, an island 1,500 km east of the capital Jakarta.

"The dragon bit his waist, tossed him and dragged him. His right leg was badly scratched," said Heru Rudiharto, of the Komodo National Park.

That's awful. I saw a show once (Discovery Channel, I think) which described the hunting habits of these giant lizards: their claws are so dirty that they'll scratch their prey a few times and wait for the infection to kill them.
