Two middle-school students in Oregon are facing possible time in a juvenile jail and could have to register as sex offenders for smacking girls on the rear end at school.

Whilst I don't condone such behavior, it's perhaps an overreaction to register junior high kids as sex offenders-- it cheapens the whole procedure, as grabbing a girl's bum in middle school is not sexual assault in the same way as child molestation or rape.
