Brawny Beats Out Brainy, When it Comes to Sex

According to a study conducted by UCLA researchers and published in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, women prefer to have a fling with muscular men over their less-defined counterparts. The study suggests that muscles in men attract females looking for a virile mate, much like the way the elaborate tail feathers of a peacock attract theirs. Prior studies focused on men's desirability being influenced by their earning potential and commitment to a relationship as opposed to physical characteristics.  But this study found that the latter actually mattered more. Still, women did tend to go with a more regular looking guy when it came to choosing a long term partner.
