It's nice to see Britney taking a breather and doing normal things around town considering her recent meltdown.  Trying to compete with Wacko Jacko in the "Nut" department is not something to vie for.

Britney Spears has spent $8 million U.S. for a mansion that belonged to actor Ray Liotta, says The Daily Star, yet another gossip-mad British daily.

The place is in Pacific Palisades, Calif. "Britney has spent the past month looking for a new pad," good old Source with No Name told the paper, "ever since the child protection services reported that her Malibu and Bel Air homes have unsafe pool areas. She fell in love with the Liotta pad the second she set foot in it."

This is the most nearly normal Spears story this month.
