NowPublic contributor Kate Armstrong first broke this story about a unique building in Brooklyn called the "Broken Angel" that partially went up in flames about a month ago. Since then, and according to the Gothamist, the Department Of Buildings has threatened demolition and removed the owners, Arthur and Cindy Woods from the home. As a result of this and in efforts to save this unique artwork, Jordan Parnass Digital Architecture has started working with Christopher Wood, the son of Arthur and Cindy Wood to try to bring the building up to code. A court hearing is set for November 15th to determine if the DOB has been justified in its actions.

You can read Christopher Wood's thoughts here.

An update to the saga of the Broken Angel: Gotham Lounge is reporting that it will be saved - sort of - because some of it will be turned into condos but this will mean restoration of the rest. That's good, right?
