Buskerfest: Flaming Chainsaws
I got a chance to check out Buskerfest whilst in Toronto this weekend, which hosts a gathering of street performers from all over the world. I was picturing a sort of Glastonbury of street performers, but it felt more like an organized street fair, with lots of booths selling stuff and lots of corporate logo presence from the event's sponsor. However, the lemonade stand provided some superb citrus sustenance, with real lemons and all. You can't hate that.
Anyway, I got a chance to check out some of the performers, who ranged from musicians to grafitti artists to acrobats to a guy who juggled with a chainsaw... that was on fire!
Buskerfest collects voluntary donations in support of Epilepsy research, and is an annual Torontonian event. I'm also attaching a video, complete with the most wooden on-camera presentation ever seen on NowPublic, but the payoff is a flying flaming chainsaw, so there we are. Hey, if you think you can do better, then A) you're probably right, and B) send us a video of you covering a cultural event in your town.

jordan, good stuff--the guy juggling the flaming chainsaw is unbelievable!
This is a great example of how NowPublic contributors can provide on-the-spot coverage of events.
