Calling All Local Artist

Upstate Carolina Medical Center is accepting photo submissions to be included in its 2008 community calendar. For the past two years, the hospital has published a calendar featuring the artwork of local artists. The more than 3,000 calendars are made available to anyone at no charge, as long as supplies last. For both 2006 and 2007, all of the calendars were given away within a few weeks.

For 2008, only photographs taken by Cherokee County citizens or people with close ties to the community will be used. Any subject matter will be considered. All photos must be submitted via e-mail to the hospital at Steve.Wong@UCMC.HMA-Corp.com.

The deadline is Nov. 1, 2007. The calendar will be published in late December 2007.

When submitting a photo, please use a standard file format, such as JPG, EPS or TIF. Square photos are best, avoiding extreme horizontal or vertical designs.
