SASKATOON -- A Bible camp is defending a counsellor who skinned, roasted and then ate a squirrel in front of a group of boys.
Officials at the camp north of Saskatoon -- who have heard calls from parents to fire the counsellor -- insist it was just an error in judgment from a young man trying to show respect for nature.
The counsellor had thrown a stick at a squirrel, injuring it. Not wanting the animal to suffer or its death to be a waste, the counsellor killed the animal and ate it for lunch, said the camp's director.

I wonder why did the counsellor threw a stick at the squirrel in the first place, never mind "fail to waste" the dead animal.
