Canadians have a Right to be Nervous!

Philip Marchand of the Toronto Star has this excellent article on the "Violent Discord" south of the border. He delves into the bloody history of American conflict and comes to the conclusion that Canadians have a right to be nervious with the present state of affairs.

Today’s political nastiness in the United States has a way to go before it reaches the level of 1968. But we are right to be nervous. Another serious terrorist attack on American soil, a massive lurch in the economy, increased military entanglement abroad, and that vicious quarrel next door could escalate dramatically. Nothing in American history suggests it’s an unlikely possibility.He concludes by saying:

I worry about those neighbours next door, because people whose dreams and myths are threatened live in a perpetually dangerous stateAfter reading his article, I am worried too!
