DYING cancer fundraiser Jane Tomlinson has told how sick crank callers accused her of faking her illness.

Despite having terminal breast cancer, Jane, 43, has cycled across Europe and America, run marathons and competed in ironman triathlons to raise more than £1.4million for cancer charities.

Jane's courage has amazed her doctors. But the mum-of-three was left in tears by twisted bullies who phoned her home and claimed she wasn't really ill.

One caller told her: "You are nothing but a f****** fraud. You no more have cancer than I have, you bitch."

Jane said: "We had several abusive phone calls from more than one person but one particular person was very unpleasant.

"I have heard people say I can't possibly be ill and do the things I do and there can be nothing further from the truth.

"Yes, I am very ill, and yes, I have done the things I have done, and no, it hasn't been easy.

"Just because I smile through it doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. It hurts an awful lot."

Jane was told six years ago that her cancer was incurable. She is now too ill to train for further challenges and is concentrating on promoting a charity run in her home city of Leeds on June 24.

Her husband Mike said: "I think if we weren't raising money we wouldn't do it because it is way too big a price for an individual family to pay.

"We have been really lucky. She's lived 14 times longer than we expected."

Hi Victoria,

Thanks for your comment and suggestion. I will add to the story a link to a site run by the woman who is the subject of the story. The story came from the Daily Record in Scotland. What kind of imrovements would you suggest?
