Career Plan or Life Plan? Part I

Ever spend time pondering what direction your career is going?  When or where that promotion or next level opportunity is going to come from?  Are you one of those people that meticulously plan out a detailed strategy for getting ahead?  Isn’t it funny how we subconsciously tie this planning into our life’s happiness?  It’s true!  After all, getting “the” position or reaching “x” amount of dollars will bring fulfillment and happiness right?  It’s funny how somewhere along the way we all seem to get programmed this way.  Maybe its society and all its glamorous material possessions that drives us.  Maybe it’s just a natural desire to overcome, challenge, compete, conquer and achieve that we feel compelled to satisfy.  The reality is that whether we meet our career objectives or not, they alone are not enough to satisfy us or bring fulfillment.
