Wembley, London, UK

The Staff, at Carlyon Print had their say this week, as their letter writing campaign to members of the goverment and council was put on display at Carlyon Centre.

More Councillers and MP's are set to visit Carlyon within the next week, as the local press get ready to roll out another article to the borough this Wednesday following Brent MP 'Barry Gardiner's' visit last Friday.

Brent Council are holding a meeting to discuss Carlyon's future next month on March 12th,
Previous discussion with the council has lead to talk of closure, leaving the disabled workers at Carlyon with a uncertain future.

Parents and other concerned friends and family of the workers at Carlyon have many petitions underway, one such petition is available for anyone to sign at. http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/carlyon

This is a fascinating story dataloss but you have neglected to really tell us what it is about.

I followed your link to the petition and discovered  a lot (see below).

By including this sort of information you invite readers to learn more and to care about your cause.

But I appreciate your effort nonetheless and the photo was great.

Carlyon Print is a busy commercial supported
business specializing in the provision of employment and training for
people with disabilities; it is based in Wembley.

Over the
past 25 years approximately 30 people have passed through the unit to
either other jobs or moved away. Some others have been with us until
retirement.

Brent Council however has seen fit to close the
business, stating it is making a loss, however Carlyon have no
additional working finance to help the business grow to it's potential,
in effect Brent Council would leave many disabled people although
skilled without employment and without support or training they need to
gain additional employment. Some may have the slim chance of
redeployment within the council on a trial basis with no guarantee of a
job afterwards.

Carlyon have the support the local community, MP's and the Press but it is falling on deaf ears.

Please help their voices to be heard...
