Cashews cause worse allergic response than peanuts

Although most people associate violent allergies with peanuts, it seems cashews are the real culprit when it comes to very severe reactions in children. Not only that but these allergic reactions are becoming more common as cashew consumption is on the rise, maybe because kids are trying to avoid eating peanuts. Not great news for kids out there that at least until now might have had an option to eat something nutty.
It's known that tree nuts, such as cashews and walnuts, can trigger serious allergic reactions.

I would think that a nut allergy would prohibit the eating of all nuts, but I'm not an expert... merely a fan of the peanut. Several friends of mine, though, are affected by nut allergies.

This is very interesting. I'm always interested in health articles. I remember reading something about this awhile back, although I don't believe it was from this book.
