I'm a filmmaker and writer, born in Philadelphia PA-- grew up in Mt. Laurel NJ-- college in NY, NY-- currently living in Nyack, NY.

When I was in 3rd grade, I wrote a story called "Escape from Mt. Laurel", a retelling of one of my favorite films at the time, John Carpenter's Escape from New York. It was a goofy little thing, featuring me and my friends reprising all of the characters (with me in Kurt Russel's role...of course...). It was a big hit-- friends and teachers alike passed it around. But I didn't really stick with writing, deciding to focus more on art/illustration. In high school, I went from art to film and filmmaking. And it wasn't until I got into college that I decided to revisit writing; my first screenplay was a vampire film, made in the style of Robert Altman's Short Cuts.

Growing up, I had a bit of an interest in politics and current events...but not enough to sustain my interest. It wasn't until 9/11/01 that I began to pay attention. I was in New York City that day, about twenty blocks away from the Twin Towers. And, like everyone else, was confused and scared sh*tless. That night, I stayed with some friends that lived on 44th and 9th. We sat on the roof of their building, with a bottle of vodka, and talked about what happened. One of my friends told me that he had been reading about how we (America) were lobbing bombs all over the Middle East in the months and weeks before the attacks. I didn't know, at the time, if what he was saying was true or not...but I did know that the fact that I had NO CLUE about our domestic or foreign policy was troublesome. So, since then, I've been paying more attention.

Over the last 10 years, I've been writing more and more. I've written screenplays (none of them sold), started writing a blog (that no one reads), and 2 years ago I started writing a sci-fi novel (that I HOPE people will read).
