Certes fall 13,000 feet in aid of charity
A team of 9 brave recruitment consultants from Certes Computing, the Midlands based IT recruitment specialist, have successfully completed a Tandem Skydive in aid of local charity Acorns Children’s Hospice, at Hinton Skydive Centre near Banbury. Each of the team from Certes, who fell 13,000 feet in tandem with a trained instructor, found themselves freefalling at 120mph then opening their chutes to glide the last mile in about 6 minutes. One member of the team was James Turner, Business Development Manager (pictured) who described the experience as ‘awesome’ and one he’d love to do again. “The whole experience was amazing and knowing that we have been able to have an experience of a lifetime whilst being able to make a difference to the lives of local families with life limited children made it even more special.”
The team raised a total of £2,070 for the charity, which has come at a time when donations are vital. A representative from Acorn’s commented “Your donation comes at a most critical time for Acorns, we have recently been able to re-open all of the hospice beds which we were forced to close last year due to funding difficulties.”
