Chicago police have reported they believe they have found the body of Michael Scott, President of the Chicago board of Education, floating in the Chicago River.
AP sources are reporting a gun was found by the body. They also report the police used Mr. Scott’s cell phone to locate the body and his blue Cadillac.
It is believed he shot himself in the head.
It was also reported that Rev. Jesse Jackson arrived on the scene at about 7:30 a.m. Monday morning, November 16, 2009. Rev. Jackson stated: "Everything is just so wrong,"
Rev. Jesse Jackson acknowledged that speaking to Scott last week, as the former Chicago Public School Board president continued to deal with the brutal death of a Chicago student.
Rev. Jesse Jackson further reported Scott not displaying any signs of emotional trouble recently. Scott reportedly disappeared from his Chicago home Sunday.
