Chilean congress rejects first step to legalisation of abortion

The Chilean Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of the National Congress, voted 61 to 21 to reject a bill that would have authorised abortion during the first 12 weeks of a pregnancy caused by rape or incest, LifeNews reports.
