China’s “star wars” cause negative reaction of international community

Last night, a Chinese missile successfully brought down an outdated weather satellite that was located in the orbit 900 km from the Earth. It was a successful test of a medium-range ballistic missile that was launched from a space center in Xichang province.

A spokesman for the US National Security Council, Gordon Johndroe, said that “testing of such weapons is inconsistent with the spirit of cooperation that both countries aspire to in the civil space area.” Australia and Canada joined the US protest. In Great Britain, a spokesperson for the UK Foreign Office said the issue is to be discussed at the government.
