City boss who battered daughter, 2, was suffering from 'stress'

A City director was sectioned today after a violent attack on his two-year-old daughter left her clinging to life.


Swiss Re executive Alberto Izaga was arrested after daughter Yanire suffered severe head injuries. His friends said he had been feeling under "enormous pressure".


Yanire was punched, kicked and had her head battered against the floor of the family's £1 million central London home. Mr Izaga, 36, was said to have been under stress after his company was taken over and he was given a new position within Swiss Re .
