As a slap in the face to the global warming theory, Catalunya (Spain) is registering the coldest summer in years. July finished colder than any summer since 2002, and August is considerably colder than normal. Already there is snow falling in the mountains, which isn't usual.

This colder than usual weather is being caused by northern winds.
