I am an early retired former manager of a drafting department at the world's largest manufacturer of control valves and related control equipment. I worked for Fisher Controls for 33+ years before retiring in 2002. My wife and I moved to Colorado and I love it here but unfortunately my wife hates it! She became depressed in 2004 and we moved to Rochester, Minnesota in November of 2005. The change did not help my wife and ultimately I moved back to Colorado after moving her to Iowa in April 2006. My wife rejoined me in Colorado in December 2006 but has not been happy since. However, I know moving won't help her so here in Colorado is where we will stay!

 I am a member of Chaffee County Search and Rescue and have found that involvement very rewarding although sometimes traumatic!  Chaffee County Search and Rescue has rescued many people and that always feels great. We have had some failed rescues where the person we were searching for was found dead and that is tough on your spirit! It does help the families of those lost people so it still helps!

 My hobbies are: bicycle riding, mountain hiking, snowshoeing, and mountain road driving in my Jeep! I love the outdoors and enjoy watching wildlife. I feed birds in my backyard and have donated money to feed the starving Gunnison Basin wildlife this year due to the heavy snows this year!

 One of my favorite social activities is the annual Brewers Rendezvous which features some 40+ micro breweries beers. That is held in the Salida City Park in July on the weekend closest to the 4th and is really a great time for all attendees!

 My passion is with the Buffalo Field Campaign which is a group trying to save the last wild buffalo herd in Yellowstone National Park!  http://www.buffalofieldcampaign.org/actnow/politicians.html
