Oh no! Now we'll have unemployed gnomes, so we'll have gnomes loitering on the streets, hanging out in libraries to keep out of the weather, forming roaming gangs of gnomes. 

I have to confess I love yard art, but I prefer rabbits. I'd take in a gnome or two in need, of course. Maybe we'll need a groundswell movement to adopt a gnome.     ;}
