TruemorsGlobal Action Foundation's Malnutrition Outreach Program in the Port Loko District partners with UNICEF. Together, GAF and its implementing partner NOW, along with UNICEF train women to recognize children suffering from severe malnutrition. These women go house to house to weigh, record height and other statistics of the over 82,000 children under the age of 5 in the Western Region of Sierra Leone. Children dying from malnutrition are sent to GAF's implementing partner, National Organization for Welbody, for treatement.
