The Cornish Stannary Parliament - a governing power that pre-dates England and still claims it's rightful 'ownership' over Cornwall as an independent nation; separate to England - is demanding a court hearing to impose EC directives onto aspects of UK law that provide certain 'privileges and rights' to the Duke of Cornwall, HRH the Prince of Wales, heir to the English throne, so as to remove some of those rights. These demands include 'abolishing part of the Crown Proceedings Act 1947' and have put the Truro Crown Court in a bit of a predicament. The initial case was rejected/refused? by a circuit judge. A subsequent complaint to the Office for Judicial Complaints was dismissed, yet now the judge has called a hearing, a half hour meeting on 2nd Jan 2007 where the CSP will present a very compelling case document. What the outcome of this non-hearing will be is anyone's guess - but well worth the short wait..
