Cotecna awarded US SAFETY Act Designation

The SAFETY Act (Support Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act) provides liability protections for providers of Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technologies - whether they are products or services. The goal of the SAFETY Act is to encourage the development and deployment of new and innovative anti-terrorism products and services by providing liability protections.

The Cotecna services covered in this Designation include validation of supply chain activities' compliance with C-TPAT requirements. Under the guidelines for the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) C-TPAT Third Party Validation Pilot Program, Cotecna will work in conjunction with US importers to validate C-TPAT compliance of manufacturing and transportation companies in China, where CBP has been unable to conduct these operations.
