Firefighters are facing a fourth day of high temperatures and low humidity as they battle a blaze that has consumed more than 13,000 acres of chaparral, pine and grasslands in Los Padres National Forest . The flames, fanned by dry weather and gusty winds, were threatening to reach a ridgeline bordering a wilderness area that has larger trees and brush but no vehicle access, said U.S. Forest Service spokeswoman Vicki Collins.
