Attorney General still awaiting Amrozi`s decision

"Once his lawyer said he would never seek a clemency. If Amrozi really does want it he must state it. I will give him a month to make the decision," he said.

He said the countdown to the deadline began since Amrozi recieved the copy of the Supreme Court`s decision to reject his appeal for a judicial review.

He said Amrozi who was convicted in the case of first Bali bombings had not yet received the full copy of the Suprement Court`s decision but "I will check on when he would recieve it."

He said Amrozi could not ask for a judicial review because based on Article 286 of the Criminal Code a defendant could only ask for a judicial review only once and so what was left now was for him to seek a clemency.
