A six to eight month old girl was found abandoned in a Toronto parking lot stairwell wednesday afternoon, Jan 30. Police have not been able to identify her and no one has come forward to speak for the child.
Police yesterday released grainy video showing the green Ford car, possibly an Escort, arrive onto the second storey of the two-level parking lot at the Leslie-Finch Square mall and a person whose sex isn't discernible get out at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The person is seen checking the stairwell, then returning to the car and taking the girl out. The person then leaves her in the stairwell and drives away.
The child, who was dressed in a green hat and white snowsuit with a pink jumpsuit underneath when she was found, was being cared for at North York General Hospital Wednesday evening.
"Police say she's suffered obvious signs of trauma, she was bleeding from the mouth," said the CBC's John Lancaster.
