So according to sources Drew was playing with a blue barrel
the day his wife went on her permanent vacation. And he had someone
helping him. Could it be a fellow officer? Maybe someone who owed him.
I wonder how that conversation went down. ” Hey it’s Drew, I need you
to help me dump this big blue barrel in another county,” “what’s in the
barrel Drew?” Drew answers “the less you know the better.” This is my
recreation of how it went down. The person who helped him was free to
take the barrel to another State if he wanted to, all the time Drew is
close to his house and has an alibi.
A neighbor of Drew Peterson told police he spotted the former Bolingbrook police sergeant and a second man loading a large blue barrel into Peterson’s sport utility vehicle hours after his young wife was last seen alive, sources said.The identity of the second man isn’t known, a pair of police sources said. “That’s who we’re looking for,” one of the sources said.

That source described the barrel as blue with a volume of between 35 and 55 gallons. “Big enough to put someone in,” the source said.
Stacy Peterson, the 5-foot-2, 100-pound wife of Drew Peterson vanished Oct. 28. The 23-year-old mother of two was supposedly on her way to help the boyfriend of her sister Cassandra Cales paint a house in Yorkville but never arrived.

Kinda reminds me of a scene in Volver. Except without Penelope Cruz. And with a real death. (Amazing headline, by the way: I must confess that I love it, even if it's a bit editorial)
