Eight Indonesian buddhist monks safe in Myanmar

"They are safe because the are in four Buddhist monastries on a meditation," Nyaria Nando Bhikku, a monk of the Sanha Agung Indonesia said at his Legal Aid office in Surabaya said on Tuesday.

He made the remark when accompanying three monks from Thailand who gave support to the solidarity action of rejecting violence of the Myanmarese military junta.

The three Thai monks are Ven Phramaha Chainarong, Ven Pramaha Plachai and Ven Praha Mat.
