With armed robbery totaly out of control in South Florida
what does one expect. It is great how WSVN says “would be” thief. I
think if someone comes to rob my store he “would be” Shot.

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) — A would-be grocery store thief died while in transit to Jackson Memorial Hospital Tuesday night after being shot by the store’s owner.

Patrons of the Diaz Market, located at 13501 SW 268th St., told Miami-Dade Police officers that a masked gunman entered the grocery store just before 6 p.m.. The subject pointed his firearm at a clerk, who was behind a cash register, and demanded money. The store’s owner, standing nearby, grabbed his own pistol and shot the would-be thief.

Nearby resident Monicka Pope praised the storeowner for protecting more than just his money. “I guess he did his job by not allowing the people in the store to be scared or fear for their life,” said Pope.
