A 16-YEAR-OLD boy gunned down in a Sheffield suburb plagued by gun crime came from a "well-liked" and "well respected" family, police revealed today.
The teenager, named locally as Jonathan, of Verdon Street, is believed to have been the victim of an "inner city gang feud" in Burngreave.

He was blasted near a children's playground on Nottingham Cliff as police attended a public meeting to discuss ways of improving community relations in the area which has been plagued by gun crime.

Chief Supt Jon House, District Commander for Sheffield, said: "The young man has not yet been formally identified but specialist officers are with the family to whom we offer our sincere condolences."
