Indonesia female worker dies in Hong Kong

Malang, E Java (ANTARA News) - An Indonesian female worker, Fitriani (23), died in Hong Kong recently in what is suspected to be a murder, a local manpower official said.
Fitriani came from Ngrejo hamlet, Kluwut village, Wonosari sub district, East Java, the head of workers supervision and placement at Malang`s manpower office, Bambang Sugeng, said on Thursday.
He said his office received word on Fitriani`s death from her friend in Hong Kong on January 23, 2008. "Her friend said Fitriani died on January 22, 2008 from a stab wound," Bambang said.
He said the Indonesian female worker`s death was now still being investigated by the authorities in Hong Kong but the Malang manpower office had so far not yet received any official notification on Fitriani`s death.
"Fitriani`s body is now being flown from Hong Kong to Indonesia and is expected to arrive in Surabaya at 9 pm," Bambang added.(*) END
