Efraim Zuroff is following in the footsteps of Simon Wiesenthal, also known as the Great Nazi Hunter. Wiesenthal dedicated his life to tracking down and bringing Nazi war criminals to justice - from the people who gave the directives all the way down to the local authorities who rounded up Jews and put them on trains to Eastern Europe. 

Zuroff is in a race against time, as war criminals age and die of old age without ever being held accountable for thier role in the Holocaust. Although many government agencies are also searching for war criminals for prosecution, Zuroff is the only person who works for a NGO doing this work. That makes him the world's the last true Nazi hunter.
