Jim'll Fix It, made the wishes of members of the public (mainly children) come true, never perturbed and always smiling even after this.

Sir Jimmy Savile has been mugged after attending an awards ceremony in Leeds.

Sir Jimmy said being mugged was marvellous

The veteran broadcaster was robbed of his pink-tinted specs when a woman, believed to be in her early 20s, jumped on him as he left the Queens Hotel.

The 81-year-old reported the theft to police, who said inquiries were ongoing.

But far from being upset, Sir Jimmy has described the experience as "marvellous".

"I was walking down the corridor and this girl was overcome and jumped on me from the side and wrestled my John Lennon-style glasses off my head and legged it off down the corridor," he said.

"I thought it was marvellous because I haven't been jumped on by a girl for nearly 50 years.

"If I ever find her, I'll buy her a box of chocolates."

Sir Jimmy, who was uninjured in the theft, blamed the woman's actions on a "mad impulse after a good night".

"It was a moment of don't care and I think the glasses will finish up on eBay," he said.

good stuff:

That is the best reaction to being mugged, ever. "Marvellous" indeed!
