Suspect in the sale of Pertamina`s very large crude carriers, Laksamana Sukardi, through his lawyer, Alamsyah Hanafiah, wished to have the builders and buyers of the VLCCs summoned by the Attorney General`s Office for a clarification.

After accompanying his client during questioning at the Attorney General`s Office on Monday night, Alamsyah said the testomonies of both the builders and buyers of the tankers would clarify the case in favor of Laksamana.

The two Pertamina VLCCs were built by South Korean company, Hyunday Heavy Industries, and the buyer is a foreign company, Frontline Ltd.
