Auchmoody, 61, of Whitestown was charged in November with second-degree manslaughter due to allegations that he let his mother die by neglecting her care.

Autopsy results had determined that Edith Auchmoody died from a bacterial bone infection and emaciation due to severe neglect, officials said.
