Lately a rumour was developing in the community that the authorities and law enforcers had been dictated by a ring of judicial mafia and therefore all the relevant parties needed to optimally and thoroughly combat KKN practices.

The People`s Consultative Assembly decree No XI/1998 on the eradication of KKN is still effectove, but it should also be followed by an improvement in the performance of the authorities and law enforcers in dealing with KKN cases.

Therefore, cooperation between the police and other law enforcers should be intensified in the handling of KKN related cases which have been increasing recently.
