Paper shows Madeleine 'suspect'

The face of the man it is claimed may have abducted Madeleine McCann has been unveiled by a Sunday newspaper.

A police artist sketched the likeness after the News of the World tracked down a holidaymaker it claims could be an important witness.

The photofit shows a man with long hair, bushy eyebrows and a moustache. The paper says it has passed the picture to Interpol.

Madeleine, four, vanished on 3 May 2007, while on holiday in Portugal.

This is the first I've heard on the Madeline McCann case in ages and it seems to have come out of nowhere. Although this is sourced from the BBC, the original article was in the News of the World, which I would trust for chips. Still, though, any move might be a good move.

This story is now all over the news, though the source of it remains (in my eyes) suspect.

Me too. It literally has appeared from nowhere.
