Perverted Justice, also made famous in NBC's Dateline with Chris Hanson took on Canada, resulting in a arrest and conviction of a Winnipeg Pedophile.

Perverted Justice, an organization set up to nab sexual predators who try and entice young children to engage in sex acts over the internet "bagged" a Canadian Pedophile on Canadian Soil. Perverted Justice contacted Canadian Authourities and Canadian Justice took out Sexual Predator and Pedophile Shawn David Ramesar was caught and convicted of engaging in online sexual activities with a 13 year old girl. It's nice to know that Perverted Justice can "Reach out and touch someone" Perverted as Ramesar thousands of miles away.

My Final Thought

With Sexual Predators making the news from as far away as Thailand recently, it is nice to know there is an organization in North America that can take out the Cancer that is Pedophilia by publicizing Sexual Predators thereby forcing authourities in both Canada and the US to mete out tough sentences for crimes against children.

A Winnipeg man who engaged in sexually explicit online chats with a 13-year-old girl quickly found himself under arrest after the object of his desire turned out to be an adult volunteer with a controversial Internet watchdog group.

Shawn David Ramesar was sentenced yesterday to nine months in jail after pleading guilty to one count of Internet luring.

Court heard Ramesar, then 23, engaged in a series of sexually explicit chats with a girl he thought was 13-years-old in June 2006.

Ramesar didn't know the girl he was asking to masturbate with him was a volunteer with Perverted Justice, a U.S. based organization famous for its pedophile "stings" featured on NBC's Dateline program.

Perverted Justice reported the conversations to city police, who arrested Ramesar the following November.

Ramesar told the girl he knew as "Jessica" that he had a 12-year-old girlfriend and "knew he could get into trouble if this was discovered," Judge Kelly Moar said before sentencing Ramesar.

"He went on to tell her he found young girls hot and believed that they provided him easy access to fondle them," Moar said, adding the conversations included discussions of oral sex and masturbation.

At an earlier hearing, court was told Ramesar did not in fact have a 12-year-old girlfriend and made no attempt to meet "Jessica."

Moar sentenced Ramesar to an additional three years supervised probation and ordered that he undergo sex offender counselling and have no unsupervised contact with children under 16. He also ordered Ramesar's name be included on the national sex offender registry for 10 years.
