On Friday (2/1) evening at 7:30 pm, three cops were hanging out in their vehicles talking to each other to avoid standing in the cold. In doing so, they practically blocked the traffic on Jay Street at the corner of York Street. No one was around to write them a ticket.
The police licence plates were number 2473 and 2132.

When it's not mock-cops filming Law & Order or Third Watch, residents have to deal with real cops blocking traffic?

You mean Law & Order wasn't a documentary?

In case you're wondering why you don't actually see Ice-T in DUMBO on a daily basis...

Hello Obmud,
Same old same old don't you agree? Either they're eating donuts; drinking coffee; chatting up some bird on the street or giving tickets.
What ever happened to crime fighting? Oh wait! That's right, Superman and Batman took over.

Giuliani eliminated crime along with most other vices, so the NYPD have very little left to do. Pity their boredom.

Didn't Rudy Giuliani declare "a war on rats"? Is that really true?
