I guess they couldn't wait to get their bonuses. They thought it was just business as usual. A total of six employees of the Siemens telecommunications unit Com have been arrested in connection with diverting the money to foreign bank accounts believed set up in order to pay bribes.

I am in a serious conflict of conscience over the allged Siemens bribery scandal. On one hand, it is undesirable to have bribery. On the other, those who don't will simply be out of biz in many countries in the future. The Siemens-act stinks from another end. While they fired quite a number of employees, members of the board gave themselves a salary hike of 30 per cent. Siemens apparently is losing employee-loayalty quick, according to German media reports over a revolt in Siemens's intranet.
