I have only recently come to see that Michael Mann is a maker of boring movies with awesome final shootouts that eclipse the rest of the film making it seem better than it really was.

Do you have a personal fave? As an aside, I've been watching those Simon Pegg comedies lately (Spaced is hilarious) and those police-shoot'em up parodies in Hot Fuzz are particularly good, I thought.
