120 Years of "The Wall Street Journal"
The Wall Street Journal, the world famous English daily of the Dow Jones & Co (News Corporation, New York), has now entered its 121st year of running. Its popularity is unprecedented and has established a stronghold in Asian and European markets as well. As of 2007, it had a worldwide daily circulation of more than 2 million, with approximately 931,000 paying online subscribers.
Th Wall Street Journal primarily covers U.S. and international business and financial news and issues. It gets its name from Wall Street, the famous street in New York City which is regarded to be the heart of the financial district.
