20-Page Twitter Guide: UK Government Overthinks Tweeting
When contemplating how best to explain how to use a site with only one input box, the UK Government, in a fit of extreme anal-retentiveness, came up with a 20-page Twitter Guide.
Neil Williams, director of digital engagement at Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) (@neillyneil to his friends) busted this thing out, keenly aware of how overdone it sounds.
The best part is how to deal with the Fail Whale: "Accept (affects all Twitter users, occurs rarely and is brief)."
However, the 10-tweets-per-day suggested limit is pretty good, and I'm thinking that maybe Stephen Fry needs to read this thing.
(Thanks, Guardian!)

haha a 20-page twitter guide? That is the most hilarious thing I have ever heard. It's not that complicated. Updated your status, follow others...what am I missing?

It's funny how the author knows how anal the whole exercise is... but has to do it anyway.
