The 'longlist' for the Man Booker prize has been released. I have a lot of respect for this literary prize because it is generally awarded to an impressive piece of work. Previous winners include:

Thanks for this. There have been some great past winners of the prize, though I'll admit I'm unfamiliar with several of this year's nominees. I need to get reading too!

Of this year's nominees, I only know A S Byatt - that's really sad...

Great list. Need to get together a Booker Club this year perhaps!
