Lady GaGa's preformance at the Grammys! (with Elton John)

The 52nd Grammy Awards took place last night to honour musical achievements within the last year by various artists. This year, the Grammys were jam-packed with star-studded Grammys fashion and intricate Grammy awards performances. The big stars of the night seemed to be Lady GaGa, Taylor Swift, and Beyonce who each took to the stage for live performances of some of their hit songs. Stephen Colbert opened up the show as emcee and host for the night. He got off to a shaky start with a few quips and eventually got some laughs by pulling out his new iPad from inside his jacket. The music got off to a start pretty quickly with a medley of music from Lady GaGa and Elton John. This was just the beginning and there were many more exciting moments during the night. Below is a list of Grammys Highlights from the 2010 music awards show.

Lady GaGa Grammys 2010:

GaGa was decked out in her staple bodysuit and was later joined by Elton John at the piano for a duet of "Your Song" combined with "Speechless." GaGa and John were both covered in ash after GaGa fell through a pit of fire earlier in her dance routine. The Lady GaGa Grammys performance got the show rolling and definitely set the stage for a night of strong live performances.

Taylor Swift Grammys 2010

Taylor Swift won both the Country Album and Best Album of the Year awards. She took to the stage to accept her awards looking completely awestruck and humbled saying this was the impossible dream that had come true. Taylor Swift and Steve Nicks did a live duet combining Fleetwood Mac's "Rhiannon" and Swift's own song "You Belong With Me." Before Nicks came on stage, Swift performed "Fairytale" solo. Post-Grammys, it was discovered that Swift had dropped one of her two Grammy awards and it had broken.

Beyonce Grammys 2010:

Beyonce's Grammy performance lit up the stage with a whole slew of dancers in formation alongside her. They all rushed onto the stage in military-style outfits and Beyonce pranced through the middle of them clad in a short and sparkly dress and sky-high heels. She performed "If I Were A Boy" and even incorporated a noticeable crotch grab into her dance routine. Beyonce then performed Alanis Morisette's "You Oughta Know" which was a slightly surprising song choice but was well received by the crowd.

Miley Cyrus Grammys 2010:

Lots of online buzz started up about Miley Cyrus at the 2010 Grammys although she only graced the stage for a few brief minutes. Cyrus walked out onto the stage to introduce the Black Eyed Peas and their live performances of "Imma Be" and "I've Gotta Feeling." Miley wore a long-sleeved mini dress and cage heels and her signature long brown hair worn down in waves.

Pink Grammys Performance:

Pink's Grammy performance had her spining from an elastic type band suspended from the ceiling. Above her were numerous dancers spinning in acrobatic positions. By the end of her song, Pink was wearing a nude bodysuit and was dripping with water that was cascading from the rafters. She was spinning around and upside down while still singing live. She got a huge round of applause that left everyone momentarily speechless.

Other Grammys Highlights:

There were many other great moments last night at the Grammys, one of which was when Prince and Paris Jackson went on stage. Michael Jackson's kids went on stage to accept a lifetime achievement award for their father Michael Jackson. Prince Jackson said a few words thanking his family and God for helping him and his siblings get through the last seven months since their father's passing. Paris Jackson briefly said that she missed her daddy in a heartbreaking moment.

Other Grammys performances included newcomers to the Grammys scene - the Zack Brown Band. The country band won their first Grammy and got to perform live. Another live performance later on in the show included Andrea Bocelli and Mary J. Blige performing "Bridge Over Troubled Water" as a Haiti tribute song. Another performance involved Celine Dion, Usher, Carrie Underwood, and Jennifer Hudson performing "Earth Song" as a tribute to Michael Jackson.

The second half of the show featured Jamie Foxx performing "Blame It On The Alcohol" and performances by Bon Jovi. There was also a performance featuring Eminem, Lil Wayne, and Drake all rapping together that had many people out of their seats. In terms of Grammys fashion and Grammys best dressed lists, Lady GaGa seems to be at the top. She had 3 outfit changes throughout the night and intricate hair pieces. Fergie was also a hit in a strapless blue Emilio Pucci dress, as was Rihanna in a high-necked white Eli Saab gown. Beyonce's mermaid-hemmed dress was also popular as was Taylor Swift's sequined Kaufmanfranco dress.
