The 2010 SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Awards took place this weekend at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles with both Film and TV categories being awarded. The SAG Awards, like the Golden Globes, are considered to be a good indicator of what films will do well at the upcoming Oscars. The main difference between the SAG Awards and the Golden Globes is that the SAG's are awarded to actors by their peers. This perhaps makes the SAG Award winners much more likely to be prominent Oscar candidates as those awards are voted on by the Academy.

Popular films such as Inglorious Basterds, The Blind Side, Crazy Heart, and Precious all took home awards as well as TV fan favourites "30 Rock" and "Glee." SAG Awards fashion favourites have already been weighed in on, and Tina Fey topped most SAG best dressed lists in a purple Salvatore Ferragamo dress paired with sparkly Louboutins. Sparkles and glitter seemed to be the trend for the best dressed actresses of the night. Penelope Cruz wore a sparkly beaded L 'Wren Scott dress, as her Nine co-star Marion Cottilard donned a white glittery Eli Saab mini dress. Kate Husdon's backless white fitted dress by Emilio Pucci was another favourite of the night.
