BAFTA Film Awards 2012

The 2012 BAFTA Awards took place on February 12, 2012, competing with the 2012 Grammys. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards are the UK version of the Oscars.

The Artist was the evening's big winner, picking up seven BAFTAs, including best film, best director, and best actor. Legendary actor John Hurt was recognized for a body of work spanning over half a century; which includes The Elephant Man, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and the Merlin series.
